There are many reasons why I choose to do this observation. One reason is because many students feel as if their teacher does not understand them. However, in the observation that I am about to describe, students who connect better with their teacher have a better time in class. In my class I observed how my classmates interact with their teacher and how it ffect them in class. Most students who had a very chilled teacher had a very loud class. The teacher would teach their lesson and the students would pay attention. After, the teaching was over the students would interact with each other and the teacher. I realized that most teachers who were honest and didnt really act like a teacher students felt more comfortable. For example, the girl with the curly hair asked the pale pink cheeked teacher what he does when he gets home. His responds was playing Grand Theft Auto. Knowing this, many of the guy students come in every day and asked about what level he has accomplished. Many of the girls would Joke with him and ask about his love life. He responds as if he doesnt mind talking about his personal life. Students that I observed and interviewed said that he was very honest and thats what they expect from their teachers. The teacher with the blue eyes and very soothing voice helped my light and skinny friend with her relationship. As she sat at his desk sobbing her story to him, he soothed her with his voice and ave her the wisdom to confront the problem and be the strong one in her relationship. With other students seeing this, gave them the ability to trust their teacher with not only school work but also with personal life situations. Many students come his class and talk about everything, from what they ate for dinner to who twerk the best in videos. Whenever you go in his class students are learning but also laughing and having real life conversations. On the other hand students who dont have a relationship with their teacher eemed to hate their class. Many students that I observed were very bored. They come to class without work done. They stay on their phones and tend to not pay attention to the lesson. Some even go to sleep and wake up in time for the pack up and leave. The tall linky teacher told the big girl to put her phone up but she didnt. The big girl disrespected the tall linky teacher which caused confusion in the class. Students who saw this said that they saw how angry the teacher can get. An nterracial group of students I observed tend to act up causing the very mean teacher to write them up. These students feel as if she treated them better with respect and understand that they are people too, and then she would have a good class. In conclusion, students who have a better relationship with their teacher they tend to have a better time in class. Bucher , 2010) In other words, diversity is just not about ethnicity, race, gender but its much broader then we actually think but it’s the otherness or those human qualities that are different from our own and outside the groups, to which we belong, yet present in other individual groups. My Place for Diversity Multimedia Review: I completed and viewed the profiles and observe the Characteristics of the people in the multimedia. I recognize how there can be preconceived ideas of how a person will look if they contain certain dimensions. As I completed the profile, I reviewed Tammy. Reading the non- observable characteristic. I used my own stereotype and prejudices to attempt to determine which person would match the given description, I was wrong. The method I used to determine who fit the profile could be considered visible dimension. I only can conceive what I see not what is hidden my visible dimension maybe consider optimism. The profile describe this person being born in syracaur, NY, they lived in an upscale suburb. These people graduated at the age of 17, then went to college out of state and visit her family during the summer breaks; she is 5ft 3 in tall with few gray hairs. Next, I ruled out the other woman because their description didn’t fit in my mind to the non- observable characteristic. Why? While one lady looked as if she was upscale by her dressed appearance and long dark hair setting in a office seat. Actually, after I read the observable characteristic, then I noticed that Tammy did fit the visible dimension because of her work baggage on her work uniform. Also she had glasses on that made her look professional. Most hidden dimension can be over looked by just judging the outer appearance whether then accepting the person and respect their uniqueness. When you see many different sides of other cultures, you are now being well-versed, and can make sensible assessments about others.

In general it is clear that the benefits of providing such access far outweighed the financial costs. What is less clear, is how best to deliver more access to higher education for the most excluded portion of citizens, namely those who are in the care of prisons and probation officers. Vignoles and Crawford ( 2009, p. 49) point out that it has been difficult in the UK, even in the general population outside prisons, to widen access to access to Higher Education. Despite well-publicised efforts in the mid to late 1990s, to introduce policies to widen access, the gap in HE participation rates between higher and lower social classes actually widened. Adult learners, who are just one of several target groups in the widening access agenda, experience significant barriers to Higher Education entry which are only partially addressed by access courses and other outreach measures initiated by further and higher education institutions. The extent of the difference caused by socio- economic factors is still very large, and apparently growing: â€Å"Recent evidence from HEFCE (2005) indicates that the 20 per cent most disadvantaged students are around six times less likely to participate in higher education compared to the 20 per cent most advantaged pupils† (Vignoles and Crawford, 2009, p. 4 9). The introduction of very high fees in the mainstream higher education sector in the UK has caused a marked commercialisation of the whole student experience. There is a system in place which requires universities to make â€Å"Access Agreements† which in theory guarantee that special provision is made for students who have difficulty in meeting the high cost of fees. It has been noted already that the democratisation of higher education through these new measures has been only a partial success, with new universities in particular exceeding their targets in widening participation, while at the same time there appears to be a worrying entrenchment of top fifth, redbrick and elite institutions which perform below their expected benchmark (David, 2009, p. 46). There is a danger that these measures will increase access to the lower portion of Higher Education, such as foundation degrees and some BA and BSc programmes in some institutions, while actually increasing the exclusi vity of popular courses in well-regarded universities. There is, of course, a tension between these financially driven reforms, and the objective of widening participation.
